This "luxury" hotel leaves ALOT to be desired. This trip was planned to celebrate my nephew's 21rst birthday. Thanks to TI's lack of communication, efficiency, professionalism, and customer relations, this special occasion could very nearly have been ruined. I won't go into the gory details but suffice it to say that not only does TI need to retrain their staff on how to check guests in and out of rooms properly, ie if they are switching rooms for a guest, MAKE SURE THE GUEST IS CHECKED OUT OF THEIR ORIGINAL ROOM AND INTO THEIR NEW ROOM!!!! Also, on the tails of that, perhaps have a policy so that if housekeeping for some reason calls to check on the occupied status of a room and are told it should be empty (because the check-in/out person didn't follow the above-mentioned capitalized words) that instead of taking the room items to lost and found, that security and staff investigate as to why the room is occupied by people who are obviously going to be returning (ie how did they gain entry to the room), And maybe have their system set up so that a room key cannot be coded for a room until that room has actually be checked-in, that might actually help when trying to follow the above-capitalized words and prevent the above described second situation from happening. Also, they might look into retraining their staff so that people don't have to fight for said situations to be resolved. Oh, and overall they might try to keep their eyes open for the three inch roaches running across their lobby. Apparently they are sturdy enough that if you kick them they sort of skitter away a bit and flip over. I wonder what would happen if one pointed at the roaches and screamed “Unclean” at the top of their lungs. Judging by the lines that built up in registration, one might elicit a speedy response.

We stayed 2 nights and everything was great. They still allow smoking in the building but our non-smoking room was clean and smoke free. My 17 year old son was bored because he couldn't even watch as I played a few hands of Black Jack but those are the rules. There wasn't much else for him to do there.

We had a great experience at Treasure Island. Our check in was fairly smooth (although I did see some pretty nasty lines to check in at various times of the day). The hotel was very clean, beds and sheets were RIDICULOUSLY comfortable--you wont be disappointed there. I had read many reviews that said Treasure Island is more of a "kids/family" hotel. I would have to agree with this to a certain extent. It is certainly not unbearable, nor did it take anything away from our trip (3 single girls in our early 30's). That being said, TI is not as much of a "party hotel" as say, Excalibur, etc. The elevators were very quick, very little waiting time. The pool is nice, some said it could be bigger---during the week, its fine, weekend, you'd be lucky to find a spot to cool off IN the pool. The location is good (right across from Palazzo/Venetian, next to Caesars Palace. However it is located towards the end of the strip. So, if you plan on spending a lot of time at MGM or Excalibur, New York, New York, I would suggest something more central or to that end. Overall, It was a great hotel and I would stay there again.

Me and my sister (both in early 20's) stayed here recently for 3 days and 2 nights. Upon arrival, we were able to get a free room upgrade and we had a strip view. The view was great from the 30th floor! We didn't stay in our rooms much at all (duh) but they were clean, fresh, and the maid was there both days to see if we needed anything. There was an ipod deck..comfy beds and a flatscreen tv. There however, wasnt a microwave. :-( THe location is ideal if you are into shopping! The Fashion Mall is across the street, as well as the Palazzio, Venetian and the Wynn!! All three have nice places to party at! There were a few food choices, but for the most part, we ate at the other casinos. The atmosphere was VERY Relaxed!!! I would definately stay here again, but just because I like variety, maybe not the next time I go!. Oh and beware of the resort fees ($* daily), but you do get 2 for 1 cocktails and buffet tickets!!
